My Business Didn’t Need Another Course. It Needed a Nap.

Business Tips

A few weeks ago, I caught myself staring at yet another online course checkout page.

This one promised to finally fix my marketing struggles. Before that, it was a course on email funnels. And before that? A productivity masterclass.

I had spent *a lot* on courses, coaching, and webinars—all while running on fumes, guzzling caffeine, and wondering why I still felt stuck.

That’s when it hit me: I didn’t need another course. I needed a nap.

The Hustle Trap No One Talks About

Entrepreneurship culture will have you thinking that if you’re not always learning, growing, and grinding, you’re falling behind. So we pile on more strategies, more systems, more shiny new frameworks—because surely the next thing will be the missing piece, right?

Wrong. Turns out, the missing piece was my ability to function like a human being.

*And don’t get me wrong, I think there’s ALWAYS time to learn new things and grow personally and emotionally. But you can’t do that if you’re barely hanging on.q

What I Did Instead

Instead of spending more on a game-changing course, I did something radical:

🖤 I took a damn nap (for the first time in… forever might I add)
🖤 I blocked out time to think, not just do.
🖤 I revisited the courses I’d already bought and, gasp, implemented what I learned.
🖤 I stopped chasing new strategies and focused on what was already working.

And you won’t believe it, but my business didn’t collapse. In fact, it thrived—because I stopped overcomplicating it.

Before You Buy That Next Course…

Ask yourself:

  • Have I actually applied what I already know?
  • Am I avoiding action by consuming more content?
  • Would I make better decisions if I just rested for a second?

Sometimes, the best investment in your business isn’t another course. It’s giving yourself permission to pause, process, and freaking breathe.

Because sometimes you don’t need more. You need clarity—and maybe a nap.
